With its over 60-year history, Asarel-Medet JSC stands out on the map of Bulgarian industry as the first company to start state-of-the-art mining and processing of copper ores in the country. Today, we ensure the sustainable development of the Asarel deposit near Panagyurishte with care for people, nature and society andby effectively processing minerals with one of the lowest average copper grades in the world. We produce copper concentrate and cathode copper and are the largest industrial enterprise in the municipality of Panagyurishte and district of Pazardzhik.
Copper is a strategic and critical raw material for the needs of the green economy and digital technologies, and this opens up new opportunities for the Bulgarian economy and will set the pulse of our development in the decades to come.
We welcome the era of cutting-edge technologies in mining with international standards of work, equipment from leading global manufacturers and new generation automated systems. We open our doors to innovation as the only representative of the Bulgarian business in three international research projects for future technologies in mining.
We celebrated our company anniversary under the motto 60 Years Together to express our gratitude to the work and achievements of generations of mining specialists. We remember the long path of modernization and investments, thanks to which today we are proud of world-class mining production and social projects that have changed the face of the Panagyurishte municipality. We celebrate dreams come true and draw new plans together with our youngest colleagues - the students from the dual training and the interns in the company.
